Its been a busy week with a visit from Stella's Great Aunt Louise and Great Uncle Chuck, Plunket yesterday (she now weighs in at 7.06kg) and immunisations today. A bit of a protest at being stuck by a needle three times however she then fell asleep in my arms and has had a quiet afternoon. She broke the sleep record last night, going down at 11pm and waking at 8am, not sure if we can expect the same tonight!
Stella is enjoying more time on her tummy, especially if we lie on the floor next to her and have a chat or sing along to her nursery rhyme CD (Never smile at a crocodile... Bibbity Bobbity Boo... Pat a Cake... funny how the lyrics are retrieved from the archives in your mind when you hear them again). She is also starting to bat the toys on her baby gym while she looks at them rather than doing random arm jerks and looking in the other direction. She stares with great fascination at the cool yellow glove given to her by Louise and Chuck as it has a different animal at the end of each finger. Not quite ready to reach out and grab at it yet but I think that will come soon.
