Mark came back from a couple of brilliant days skiing with his Dad and a day later was hit by a really nasty bug which has left him bedridden for the past 24 hours. (Maybe it was those 4 cold sausages from the fridge at the lodge?? So much for a weekend with my feet up while Mark did all the chores as penance for being allowed a holiday without us!!) Stella and I were going a bit stir crazy after a long week at home with colds so left Mark tucked up in bed with dry toast and lemon squash and went to Kath & Claire's place for a cuppa. Stella timed it perfectly after two good morning sleeps and put on a great display of cute baby-ness for the aunties (who have only seen her sleeping the past couple of times they visited). Nana K happened to be there too so we had a belated birthday gathering for Claire's birthday which was last week although we found that most of the conversation and attention ended up around Stella. We are all a bit besotted with her, poor Peanut the dog wasn't too impressed as she usually gets all the cuddles.

Carolyn had given Kath a party hat for Stella from Tarquin's party that we missed out on last weekend, Stella didn't look too impressed, plenty of time to understand what parties are all about.
