A couple of weeks ago Aunty Linda dropped off Lorna and Nicky's old doll house (Stella calls it the Dolly House). It was love at first sight for Stella, she spends quite a bit of time each day rearranging furniture and placing the characters in different chairs, beds, swings etc. The Daddy of the set was missing but good old Trade Me provided a second hand Daddy who joined the family a week later. Often the babies have to come down to the dining room to watch her have her tea. She is starting to do little make believe things like sitting the Mummy and Daddy at their little table and giving them biscuits and cups of tea.
Recently Stella got to meet Aunty Kath's new dog called Mouse. Fortunately she doesn't seem too confused about a dog being called Mouse. After her tummy bug she regressed to crying at bath time and the allure of new stickers had worn off. Had to get creative to think about what could be a good reward so we now spend a good 15 mins after each bath looking at photos and videos of Stella on the computer. She puts in requests now, and they vary from family members to pets to locations... tonight we had to watch the Falling Down video many times before she could be distracted by the videos I took at the Zoo last week.
Stella is proving quite difficult to photograph at the moment, as soon as the camera comes out she wants to see the pictures, she hasn't figured out that she needs to stay where she is in order to have the picture taken that she wants too look at! As a result, my posts have been a little sparse lately due to lack of good pics.
