Last Weekend

We're a bit behind on the blog, Stella hasn't been well this week, suspected tonsillitis which has turned out to be a virus. Still, she has had a very sore throat and we've had a few disrupted nights. Anyway, last weekend we took Stella to Long Bay. She had a ride on the train there which sadly closed the day after due to the current owners deciding it was too expensive to maintain in line with the council's requirements. Unfortunately she didn't enjoy the train ride and they had to stop it after 2 circuits to let her and Mark off - the train driver said it happens with about 1 in 400 kids!!! She quickly recovered and enjoyed pointing at the numerous ducks that surrounded us while we ate our lunch.

On Sunday we caught up with Aunty Kath and Nana. We dressed Stella up in her one and only dress (a birthday pressie from the aunties) for the occasion. Whaea Delma and whanau had been visiting Nana, Stella was quite interested in the big kids and enjoyed showing off her walking skills to a captive audience.
