The next day we drove to the Redwood Forest and went for a walk and a picnic. It was pretty cold so we all wrapped up warm. Stella wasn't too happy settling for her afternoon nap in the motel the previous day so we decided to go for a drive and hope she'd sleep in the car. A good plan as it turned out, and we got to see a few of the surrounding lakes along the way. Back to the lake front for a play, the clouds had cleared and it was a beautiful, crisp afternoon. The last pic is of Stella posing at the Bombay Hills McDonalds playground, it was our saviour when we realised we weren't going to get away with a straight trip home. Stella appears to be more of a dare devil than Mark or myself and is gaining confidence as she takes more steps on her own. Lots of practice of this, we are now up to 5 steps or so at a time and can even stop, look around and carry on!
