We headed off to Rotorua last Saturday for three nights over the long weekend. Mark and I both have fond memories of childhood visits to Rotorua, especially going on the Toot n Whistle train in Kuirau Park which has now been removed due to geothermal activity. We discovered the very cool playground down by the lake on day one and visited each afternoon from then on. We visited the Paradise Valley Wildlife Park, Stella wasn't so impressed with the big lions but enjoyed patting a lion cub and interacting with all of the farm animals. On the way out Stella spotted the WWF fundraising Panda and gave it a big hug even though it is cold and hard!
