Stella really seemed to enjoy my birthday this year, she sings the birthday song and blows out candles with great gusto and is VERY good at helping to open presents. She went out with Mark the day before to pick a present and couldn't wait to give it to me, she came running in the door and insisted we open it. We spent the actual day at Nana's house, Celeste was considerate and had two naps in the portacot. The aunties spent lots of time entertaining both girls, the neighbour's swing was put to good use, and I actually got to put my feet up for a while. Stella fell asleep in the car on the way home, it was 5.30pm so a bit before bedtime. I took her upstairs and changed her, she stayed asleep and then slept til the morning, she was totally worn out!
Stella's imagination is running wild at the moment, she often comes racing in from the garden saying a gorilla was trying to frighten her. Each day she asks us to call her by a different name, usually a character from one of her DVDs. She has been Dorothy, Madeline, Chloe and most recently Greg (from the Wiggles). Running with the Wiggles theme, she insisted on calling Mark Jeff, me Dorothy and Celeste Wags the Dog. She kept it up all day and corrected us when we didn't use the correct Wiggle name. She only really responds to her requested name rather than Stella but I wonder how much we should buy into it!?
